Ok – this is not a scientific report. But we have heard the same thing now from completely different JAVA tribe members.
Tribe members with dogs are telling us they are getting a ton of kisses from their dog after using JAVA serum. Maybe it’s the fragrance. Maybe it’s the post use glow.
But whatever the reason, it’s always good when women’s best friend wants to tell you how great you look and how great you are!

Just When We Need It More Than Ever… The Espresso Martini Is Back!
There was a time when an espresso martini was the ultimate chic cocktail. That time was the mid-’90s, the heyday of Sex & the City and the Cosmo. That’s when every flavored martini drink was chic, poured into glasses the exact size and shape of a dog’s surgical cone.
With the advent of speakeasies, those drinks fell out of favor as fast as a designer fanny pack.
But the current freewheeling cocktail culture, in which everything from classic gin drinks to neon-colored concoctions is fair game, it’s time for an espresso martini renaissance.
It’s the perfect holiday season drink and we call them JAVA~tinis: The combination of caffeine and alcohol can power people through intensive party schedules. Espresso martinis also make sense because it’s hard not to find the namesake ingredient—good quality coffee—these days.
Here is a great recipe from Ina Garten:
2 cups freshly brewed espresso, chilled
2 cups orange-flavored vodka
1 cup coffee liqueur
8 slices orange peel, twisted
Directions
Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice. Add the espresso, vodka, and coffee liqueur. Shake for 30 seconds, or until foamy. Strain into a chilled martini glass and decorate with the orange peel. Serve at once.

Visit a local supermarket- It’s one way to boost your vocabulary and feel more comfortable parsing menus in a foreign language. Plus, you’ll walk away with affordable souvenirs that provide more insights into a country’s culture than the airport duty free. Want to take this hack to the next level? Keep the plastic shopping bag. Walking around with groceries (or what looks like them) is one of the easiest ways to blend in with the hometown crowd, wherever you go.
Watch for a flight delay domino effect- Check the FlightRadar24 app to make sure my plane has left its originating city before you head to the airport, It decreases the pain and agony by 50 percent.
X out your hangover- Leave it to the Brazilians to have the most effective hangover cure ever. One JAVA Tribe member recommends Engov, an all-in-one caffeine and painkiller pill you take before and after drinking, stored in a gold, condom like package. It’s so popular, you can buy it on Amazon.
Your hotel room’s most overlooked amenity is the ironing board- Use it as a standing desk, a place to eat, or an activity table for kids. (And let housekeeping worry about your ironing.)
Zap jet lag- Vitamin D is better than melatonin for fighting inflammation, strengthening your immune system, and regulating your internal clock. A JAVA Tribe member who is a flight attendant says you should do as the crew does and skip all your in-flight meals. “At super high altitudes, your digestive system shuts down completely,” she explains, adding that when you deplane, “your body can’t keep up with the culinary backlog.” A travel agent always hits the ground running when she arrives – she goes for a jog.

We admit we are soooo jealous hearing that several JAVA Tribe members (you!) and friends of JAVA made the pilgrimage to Oktoberfest this year.
Your JAVA team has attended from time to time and we are not exaggerating in ranking it among the top 3 parties in the world!
That being said, a couple days in the Lowenbrau, Paulaner or Augstiner tents will take its toll. Not just internally – you’ll never appreciate your morning coffee more than in Munich during Oktoberfest – but your skin too. Here are just a couple effects to expect with, ahem, a few more liters of beer than you’d normally drink:
1. Bags under the eyes
2. Dehydrated skin
3. Lowered antioxidant levels
4. Susceptibility to free radicals and sun damage (it’s only September and lots to do outside the tents too!)
