What could be better then a day in NYC completely devoted to Independent beauty brands and the lovers of beauty products?
JAVA Skin Care being asked to be a part of it of course.

The Indie Beauty Expo took place at the Altman Building in New York City on August 27th. This event was created to give independent beauty brands the opportunity to interact and make connections with buyers, media and consumers that love green beauty products just as much as they do. These unique small brand companies come from all over the nation to present their clean beauty products at this event. Yes, clean beauty. No chemicals, no animal testing, no toxins and completely stock full of lovely, eco-friendly ingredients to help your skin glow.

So the JAVA team packed up all the green coffee products/samples they could fit in the car (don’t forget the gluten-free espresso cupcakes) and hit the road from li’l Rhody to the big city!

JAVA Trio – Cellulite Smoothing Collection

Today we are going to provide a tutorial for reducing the appearance of cellulite with our JAVA Cellulite Smoothing Trio Collection.

We created our tutorial in the early hours at the beautiful Dunes Club in Narragansett, Rhode Island – one of the most breathtaking beaches on the east coast.

Emily Johnson, Vice President and JAVA Skin Care muse, is going to take you through the steps of the JAVA Trio Ritual.

What you will need:

The FIRST STEP is very important…….

Before showering, apply JAVA Body Scrub to “affected” areas (any dimply or less than firm spot on your body, legs, bottom, tummy, upper arms) in a circular motion. The high percentage of caffeine ensures absorption deep into your skin, and the circular massage will redistribute fat evenly, decrease fluid retention and increase circulation.

Then, wrap the area with a towel, and let the mixture soak in for fifteen minutes. While you wait, relax; flip through your favorite magazine…The circular motion of the scrub will stimulate the blood flow to your tummy/buttocks/thighs, increasing blood flow to the area, and redistributes the fat. During the time right after scrubbing, the antioxidants and caffeine in the green coffee extract and coffee grounds penetrate your skin, shrinking your fat etc. Rinse and pat dry.

Once dry, apply JAVA Serum. Not only will the serum deliver antioxidants and caffeine deep into your skin’s upper layer, it will create a moisture barrier to continue to keep your skin soft and supple all day.

On days that you’re not scrubbing, while in the shower,use the JAVA Body Bar Soap in a circular massage to maintain the fat redistribution and deliver caffeine and antioxidants to your skin (similar to a dry brushing technique).

Always remember to finish with JAVA Serum which will create a moisture barrier and will help to keep your skin soft and supple all day.

Continue this JAVA Trio Ritual for 2 weeks. At the end of two weeks, you should see a dramatic reduction in the appearance of cellulite and enjoy firmer, tighter skin that glows!

JAVA will be featured at the Benrus Nantucket location all summer long, so grab a ticket for the ferry, hop on your boat, or steal a biplane and get out to the Island for a scenic day of shopping. And don’t forget to exfoliate and moisturize with JAVA products to keep your skin healthy and glowing.

While the day was rainy, the JAVA team had sunny dispositions as we got off the ferry in Nantucket and headed to the “brandie” new Benrus store at 21 Main Street, the newest location we have added to our wonderful list of retailers. The weather couldn’t stop us from being excited to set up our custom display we had create specifically for this exciting new location.

The newest addition to the Benrus family is located in a quintessential store front in the heart of the Nantucket shopping district. Stocked with great Benrus merch, it makes a perfect addition to the areas great retail locations.

The three Lazrus brothers founded the All-American brand Benrus as early as 1921. Their operation was known for their classic, moderately priced wrist watches for the common American man. As Benrus decided to progress their national pride, they contributed to the war effort by creating specialized and sophisticated watches for the US military in WWI and WWII. Benrus still celebrates their love for the US by designing military inspired lifestyle branded merchandise along with timeless wristwatches, apparel, accessories, travel bags, and eye wear.

Carley Ochs, the founder of Bourbon & Boweties, first began handcrafting bangles for friends and family with unique stones she brought back from China. As word of mouth broke out about her creations, she decided to sell them at more then 45 store locations around the country. Each Bourbon & Boweties bracelet is delicately designed with hand-selected natural stones originating from countries all around the world and are uniquely crafted on a gold plated metal wire bangle. Bourbon & Boweties bangles are still hand-crafted in the USA by local women and ‘made by PROUD Southern hands’.

We are so honored and excited to be sharing a space with these fantastic brands. The Benrus team was welcoming and attentive, and we cannot wait to take a trip back out to visit. Did I mention that we all walked out wearing new jeans and bracelets? Love shopping –
