The Skin – our largest sexual organ

Reposted from Masquemusculos – May 22, 2020

When we think of pleasures, we immediately think of: sex, consequently this brings with it genital excitement, erection, vaginal lubrication, orgasm. Some will also think of wines, chocolates, delicious foods, perhaps moments alone; however, one of the most pleasant parts in intimacy, shared or alone is the experience of touching and being touched everywhere.
The simple fact of caressing ourselves, of pampering ourselves, of feeling ourselves, of feeling another person or feeling that another person touches us.

Allow our skin to speak; its texture, its smell, how soft or rough it can be in some places, how cold or warm it is, its sensitivity to certain diseases or how it bristles when touched, kissed, scratched, bitten and so many other ways of expressing ourselves. Our skin is our presentation card, our first dish, our bait.

I have always been a lover of body serum, oils and butters. I think they are sexy and stimulate my femininity, that feeling they leave on my skin makes me feel sexy and I love feeling that way.
Giving myself those minutes to rub my skin with an oil after a shower or as a preamble to my sexual encounter… even if it is only with myself, is one of my favorite pleasures.
I wish you would experience it and let me know what you think, create that sexy connection with yourself before…

One of the serums I have tried recently and which surprised me a lot, because its aroma is quite neutral, but the hydration and the velvety feeling on my skin has no way I can describe it in words; you must try it for yourself, and you can easily find it here:  https://medamour.com/discount/Masquemusculos

It is the Sexy Serum by Java Skin Care. Not only is it made with wonderful ingredients, but it is also vegan, for all skin types, free of parabens, sulfates and gluten. within its ingredients we find organic coffee, rosemary and vitamin – it really is great.

JAVA’s Hand Sanitizer Collab

We are very proud to tell you of our partnership with our local friends Sons of Liberty Distillery. Together, we are creating an immediate supply of Hand Sanitizer for customers to fight COVID-19.

R.I. Monthly Magazine has written a terrific article on our Partnership.

The back story: Mike and his team at Sons of Liberty started their journey a bunch of years ago as a distillery and have become one of New England’s up and coming companies. More recently, they launched their spirits line and beers.

One of the side products of distilling alcohol is ethanol. Mike and I talked about ethanol being a great sanitizer. Apparently we are right: one of the World Health Organization’s recommended hand sanitizer ingredients is ethanol.

Now, you know about our love for artisan and craft businesses so, we immediately jumped on the opportunity to work together. The result: a giveaway event of 2,000 bottles for local residents and the launch of a new product line to help you keep hands moisturized during these challenging times.

Remember that hand washing dries out skin, and more than average hand washing and/or with harsher solutions definitely dries out hands. Add Hand Serum to your products to soothe your now-clean skin to maintain it health, because clean dry skin is not good long term protection.

JAVA Labs Update:

Keep an eye on your email next week.

We will be launching a brand new
Hand Sanitizer to help you fight
COVID-19 and protect your
family and loved ones.

Steph Says ~ Back to School

Summer in Rhode Island lasts through the end of September with warm temperatures.  It really is one of my favorite times of the year… I know, I say that each season… lol.

CSA – Coastal Growers Market

I love going to Farmers’ Markets and picking up local vegetables. The Casey Farm (Saunderstown, RI) Market is one of our best markets and is located on a historic working farm. Truly a lovely location.

Fresh Eggs are a special treat  We get ours from the Future Farmers of America, Narragansett High School Program… Do you know about FFA? It is a dynamic youth organization that changes lives and prepares members for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education. FFA develops members’ potential and helps them discover their talent through hands-on experiences, which give them the tools to achieve real-world success.

With my children back in school and breakfast such an important meal to fuel up for their day, I use the veggies from the market and the eggs from FFA to make my “famous” frittata… well, maybe not so famous… but so good!

I use an awesome recipe from Ina Garten aka Barefoot Contessa, which you can see here: Roasted Garden Frittata

Speaking of favorites, our Demitasse Lip Duo is a favorite of mine and of JAVA Skin Care customers based on being one of our top sellers.  Repair and rejuvenate your lips from the summer and get ready for the fall.

Behind the Bean: What’s in JAVA Serum?

When we set out to create an all-natural skin care company, we looked to anchor our products on a signature formulation. We were delighted to see our friends @ The Truth We Seek post the update above.

All the oils listed were candidates for our base and as followers of JAVA know, we chose Argan Oil to mix with our proprietary green coffee bean extract. In combination, they pull a number of additional benefits listed under other oils such anti-oxidant, anti-aging, & anti-acne. We are working on a top secret new ingredient addition right now in the JAVA Lab, pulling from essential minerals from the sea. If successful, it will open a new vector of skin care benefits for JAVA Tribe customers.

Stay tuned!

Steph Says: Tis the season for Events

IMG_7947

For me, December is all about the weeks running up to Christmas Day and all the fun & joy of the season that I love so much! Spending time with family and with friends, and so many special events to celebrate the holiday!

Down by the sea side here in Rhode Island, we will be celebrating with a number of customers and friends of JAVA who helped build 2018 into our busiest yet. Just the first week of December, highlights include:

December 5th- Beauty & the Bath 22nd Pajama Party, 5-9PM. Wickford RI

Located in picturesque Wickford RI…this boutique was the very first store to carry JAVA. Come by with a pair of unwrapped pjs to donate. There is also food, fun, raffles and 20% off the whole store.

December 5 & 6th- University of RI Holiday Mall. 10-5pm. South Kingstown, RI

This is a wonderful event for URI students, alumni and staff. Local artisans gather on campus and create a magical shopping wonderland.

December 6th- Inspire Spa Holiday Event. 4-7PM. Narragansett RI

Located in our hometown of Narragansett, come by this fabulous spa: massage therapist Trisha Pimentel is the BEST. She has brought my tired muscles back to life many times. The spa is offering a curated collection of luxurious gifts, spa special pricing (perfect for gift giving) and refreshments.

December 14th & 15th- Sons of Liberty 6th Annual Whiskey Wonderland Bazaar. Friday 5-9PM and Saturday 1-9PM, South Kingstown RI

SOL is an award winning distillery & Brewery. Founder Mike Reppucci and his team have been friends of ours since we began selling JAVA at the Farmers Market located in the same Mill. Local artisans, craft drinks, food and music are bountiful at this event..they also do a barrel tree lighting that is so cool.

We will be adding more events…so keep watching Facebook for all the fun!

Steph Says~ November Favorites

at the door longer

November is upon us. Thanksgiving with my family is so special too me. A perfect hostess gift like a great bottle of Prosecco, cozy sweaters, and the best food.

My favorite things this month:

Choosing the perfect Hostess Gift. I like to bring a bottle of Prosecco for the party, and, to spoil my hostess, JAVA Skin Care products to enjoy the day after (we all know how stressful it can be to cook the turkey).

MACY’s Day Parade in New York City remains my family’s favorite holiday event. For years and years we have attended the parade…the kids are memorized by the floats. Truth be told so am!

We are thrilled to be chosen again this year to participate in the Made on Honor Market Event for Narragansett Beer on Nov 17&18 at The Guild, Pawtucket RI. This year’s event will be bigger than ever!

The Event will take over the entire campus at The Guild including the Brew House, Packaging Hall, Event Hall, and their brand new Beer Hall with over 65+ vendors. Join us for two full days of holiday shopping, meet the people behind some of OUR favorite brands, and of course, we’ll be drinking plenty of beer. Best part? This event is FREE and open to the public.

XOXO

Stephanie

When is the last time you gave your body a really good scrubbing?

We recommend using JAVA Body Scrub everywhere from the neck down about twice a week.

Here are a few reasons why:

Instantly makes skin look more youthful and healthy
Helps to unclog pores, remove excess oil and helps prevent ingrown hairs
Helps moisturizers penetrate deeply instead of getting stuck in dead skin         buildup
Makes for a more even application of self tanner
Boost circulation and cell turn-over
Reduces the look of dark spots and other skin imperfections
It feels great!

Never forget this important step to keep your skin healthy and glowing.

Meet Brigid: Create Love Heal

We would like to introduce you to a very busy woman, Brigid from Create Love Heal, mother of 3, osteopath, holistic lifestyle coach, blogger who “ is passionate about the importance of self love, soulful living, non toxic skincare & beauty products and helping women and teens on their journey to self discovery” and fan of JAVA Skin Care.
1.  How do you take your coffee?
I am not normally a coffee drinker, I just love the scent and am obsessed with it being in my skincare products; however, if I do have coffee, it’ll be in a blend of medicinal mushroom coffee with MCT oil, cinnamon, grass-fed butter.

2.  What is your astrological sign?
Virgo through and through

3.  A little history of your blog?
My blog began as a hobby for me when I had planned on creating my own skincare line in honour of my daughter’s horrific skin rashes; I have always been a huge believer in eliminating toxins from your home and skincare/makeup so I went from making my own basic balms to entering the green beauty community and I’ve never looked back.
I share my passion for non-toxic skincare on my blog along with detoxifying your emotional realm. My deep passion involves encouraging others to embrace and learn about themselves while becoming their truest self. I run an online “Learning To Be Me” Workshop which targets this side of my focus.

4.  What in green beauty are you passionate about right now?
Coffee scrubs are my obsession, but I am also very passionate about supporting small companies and encouraging women to find what works for them! I like to provide reviews that are positive and a true reflection of the energetic offerings of natural skincare, it is so alive and can offer huge therapeutic benefits when matched with the right person. I like to see my skincare routine as a sacred ritual to serve myself and I relish in the fact that I am nourishing my skin each and every day.

5.  What is your favorite JAVA product?
I am loving both the scrub and the body oil. The oil is so rich and loving to the skin, without being congesting or heavy. It is brilliant. And the scrub…well, sugar, coffee and a good amount of oil is always a perfect blend!

6.  Any tip on how you use it?
Always be present with the use of both this scrub and the oil; I take the time to really feel the use of these products (like any product) and how it makes you feel. It is a self care ritual that should be a mindful one, never rush a scrub or body oil, really embrace it and take time to feel the effects.

March Holidays Rhode Island Style

Spring is almost here!!! Time to celebrate!

Pretty much everyone knows about St. Patrick’s Day, right? In Rhode Island, we have several annual parades, including one in Newport that becomes quite the all-day into evening party (and we know from experience). You may even be lucky enough to see a leprechaun or two around town.

We also celebrate another holiday that you may not be as familiar with only  two days after the Irish party. Its called St. Joseph’s Day, and its kind of like the Italian version of St. Patrick’s Day, with a few differences. Here in Little Rhody, instead of green we wear red and instead of drinking Guinness we eat these amaaaazing Italian pastries called zeppoles. It’s said that everyone is Irish on St. Patrick’s Day, and on St. Joseph’s Day we can all be Italian and enjoy the delectable pastries made especially for this holiday.

I guess you can add that to list of things we do or say a little differently in Rhode Island, along with coffee milk (like chocolate milk but better), bubblers (water fountains), and cabinets (milk shakes) to name a few. Happy March from our weird and wonderful state to yours!
